    wista 45SP front fall limitations

    Hello All,

I have another question about my wista SP.

I've been trying to use front fall with the 90mm lens, and am finding i'm only getting maybee 10-15mm fall by dropping the bed. (there is no fall without dropping the bed)

    Does this seem right?

This is usually not enough fall for the typical landscape with 1/3 sky and 2/3 foreground. I've also used the wista wooden one that has 29mm fall and needed it all to get the above mentioned composition.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

How far are you tilting the camera?

If I tilt the rear standard all the way back and then level it, I get tons of fall on my SP.

    Dave,

Do you get a lot of fall even with a 90mm lens?

Because the front standard is so close to the rear even with full bed drop there isn't too much fall. Actually i'm finding with full bed drop, i can't tilt the front standard back enough to be parallel with the rear. So i'm using the midway setting for bed drop (rear tilt)

    Thanks
