It looks like an Albert Bierstadt painting to me, done just prior to the western photographic surveys.
    Thanks,

Thanks Kirk, Googled Bierstadt and there it was in all it's glory: Yosemite, Not Yellowstone.

    Oh yes.

You should visit while the Euro is strong. (At least the latter is true...).

A few from a recent trip to AZ

    All shot Velvia 50 w/ Toyo 45AII & Nikkor 210mm or 75mm

I just had one of them printed at 40x50, and it was super sharp. I'm having the first printed the same size as we speak. I look forward to picking up that print.

    Nad45,

I like that shot, nice curves! A yellow filter would have reduced the atmosphere haze, but I like the dreamy effect without it.

Snowstorm in a canyon, Colorado Springs

E100G, 75/8 Super Angulon, 2X 81B filter (which went a little too far and I had to bring it back in photoshop)

I also shot this on NPS, which I'll try to scan as soon as I have an opportunity. I think the NPS shot should be much better in the LRC shadows where the falloff in the 75/8 took out the detail in the slide.

Also, the shot above was done on E100VS. I'm scanning some small format E100GX and got the note mixed up.
