I just spoke with the folks who produced the film and they will be offering copies to be sold at the Fanfaire. This is the special edition DVD's that come with a bit more goodies then the regular DVD's. It will be sold the same price as well. $25 a copy. If we have extra's I will ask if I can sel them via Paypal.

It would be a great teaching aid for a college program I teach but if it has much nudity I would have to jump through to many hoops to be allowed to show it.

What college is that? Times have changed since I was in an art department in the 70's. one could only distinguish the students from the faculty by slightly different states of undress. The Age of Aquarius is over? Bummer, man!

"Eloquent Nude" is an excellent film and the DVD is extremely well done.

It does, as the title indicates, contain considerable nude work including the model walking around in a few cases. Some of Charis' comments are rather blunt also, but they are not crude, just matter of fact.

I will be showing it to my Community College class in the very near future. If I could not show this as a work of art, I would not teach at the institution. I tell my students well ahead about the movie and offer them the opportunity to undertake other research tasks rather than watching the film. I have never had a student take me up on this for any film I have shown.

I ordered from Filmbaby on Wednesday, and 48 hours later it was in my mailbox. (Incidentally, having read Charis' book, I didn't think it was all that great.)

Hi, make sure to check the extra features on the DVD, quite interesting. Like making of the film, shows more about Charis now and why the film maker decided to use b/w super 8 film rather than just HD video. Also the info on locations is interesting. I use to live in the town of Elk in Northern California and didn't know there was a photo studio next to the church (and also always wondered what the bell tower section of the church originally looked like).
