    Thumbs up Publish Your Photos Here!

    We're collecting photos from forum members to be published by Lulu.com
    Frank Petrino has kindly offered to do the InDesign adjustments to the photos.
    You too can submit your 8x10 scaned photo by sending it to fotosubmit@yahoo.com

    To learn more about this project, check out this thread: http://www.largeformatphotography.in...ad.php?t=26126

    If the email bounces, just send me a private message and I'll look into it.

    More details:

    There's no charge (unless you want to buy a copy of the book from Lulu.com after it is ready - I think the cost is about $20 or so)

    B+W or Color submission is fine;

    color space should be Adobe RGB (1998)

    and the file should be a JPEG file not exceeding 3MB;

    size should be 300 ppi for 8x10, at largest;

    the file should either be named or tagged with the photographer's name and name of image;

    Vertical shots will work best;

    And submissions should go to fotosubmit@yahoo.com

    Everything legal in the US is acceptable. There's no editorial board. Its a wild and crazy artistic free-for-all!

    Why do you care about file size? Isn't it pixel dimensions that you would be concerned with?

    . . . size should be 300 ppi for 8x10, at largest . . .
    Do you mean that the maximum pixel dimensions should be 2400 x 3000 px? Or the minimum?

    Any way, a nice project.

    I have communicated with cyrus via email, but I would like to convey my thanks to him, and that I am very grateful for his willingness to facilitate all of us for this project. My thanks also go out to Frank Petronio.

    I'm not brilliant in digital matters, so please forgive me:

    I have an 11x14 print (that size because I shoot in that size). I can scan it at 300ppi no problem, but that might break the 3MB rule. If it doesn't, do I need to scale it down in physical size? What's the max image size in physical dimensions?

    Thanks!

    Its not a hard and fast rule - the point is to make it email-able using yahoo.
    If the file is too big, it can't be sent via email.

    What's the deadline; my scanner doesn't arrive until the end of June.

    Is there an editor who will choose photos?
