    Scanning 6x17 negatives

I have the Epson 4870 scanner. Wondering if one can obtain a neg holder for 6x17 neg for this scanner? Where to obtain?

I'd use an anti-newton ring glass plate for 8x10, place the negative emulsion side up, and scan away. No need for a holder.

I'm using two sheets of anti-glare picture frame glass for all my scanning (35mm to 8x10) on my Epson 4990 - be sure the anti-glare side faces in and put the negative between the sheets. I had the sheets cut to 8x10 and use the 8x10 mask Epson provided with the scanner. It's a far easier method than using the holders that came with the scanner.

I use Doug's holder w/AN glass (http://www.betterscanning.com/) on a 4990 and have been more than happy with the results. I've recently bought his height adjustable 'fluid mount' holder but haven't gotten around to giving it a run through. All in all great products and support.
