    Great Herman Leonard interview on NPR today.

    One of those guys.........

    I thought it was neat that he mentioned a photographic trick: Before using your film, put it on a reel and put it in a developing tank with some mercury in the bottom for 24 hours. That increases the film speed by 2-3 stops.

    That's a beautiful image of Ellington. Such atmospheric light may never be found in concert halls again with the advent of no-smoking laws...
