Let's not forget that Jim hails from a rather special area in Nevada. His ability to see UV should not come as a complete surprise.
I will join in with this picture from the childrens pool in "Pyramiden". It was taken in the end of march this year. I wish I had a wider lens at the time, I will go back there with a 90mm next winter.

Hehe, that is a myth that is way over due for busting...
And actually this is from an abandoned russian settlement. They left in a hurry back in 1998 leaving everything behind, books in the library, toothbrushes, bed sheets and of course skis in pools...
