Question Drum scan lab in UK/Europe ???

    Hi,

Can anyone recommend a lab in the UK, or possibly Europe, with a reputation for high quality drum scans (pref Tango) at a "reasonable" cost ? I know the quality of the work produced by Calypso and West Coast Imaging in the US but am reticent of sending valuable work through the international postal service.

I haven't been able to locate any labs via google so would be grateful for any pointers and personal recommendations. Maybe I should drop Joe Cornish a line and see where he gets his scanned ?!

    Thanks,

    Rob

    Hi Rob

I'm not sure where you can get drum scans done cheaply, but well.

I do know that Joe uses a Flextight rather than a drum scanner.

If you send out to another country, you might as well send out to India rather than to the US.

Any suggestions as to where in India?

I have had excellent results from Bayeux in London, http://www.bayeux.co.uk/.

Hi Carl - Mr Grumpy here!

Rob was asking for drum scanning. Mine is a Flextight, which is different so I didn't peddle my wares.

I find that they produce great results and successfully make large prints from my scans. Apparently a well operated drum scanner does an even better job.

How much difference could one actually see between a scan from a flextight as opposed to a drum scan - how big would the print be to see it in real life as opposed to in theory?
