me too! Now I just need to find a few suckers... I mean people to sit in front of the lens for some real portraits Shooting the beer is fun though, cause I get to dispose of them afterwords
After seeing these two test shots at around f2.0-f2.8, I'm wondering if I really even want to try and build a front standard (or a whole camera) so that I can shoot the lens all the way open at f1.2, I'm getting a nice look as it is!

Not nearly as interesting as the other stuff going on here, but anyway...
So, I've had this old Aviator's night vision case laying around from a military surplus store (I love shopping at the surplus stores!), finally putting it to some good use! I was wondering how in the heck I'm going to carry this lens around, and I don't want to just set it anywhere, being as large and as heavy as it is, since it pretty much requires both hands to carry around. This case makes it nice and easy with one hand, and I don't have to worry about where I set it down, or anything, I can just set it down on the ground any ol where. Finally putting this awesome case to a good use :-D Soda can for size comparison. Will put other necessary things in there to fill up the remaining space. Can't fit an 8x10 camera in there, but can fit a 4x5 no problem

the case IS wide open, but....?
What format was that shot taken in? With the DOF it exhibits, I think that it must be something larger than 4x5.

That's a good idea for a case.
I bought one of these as well as the rear element. I'm slowly building a housing out of ABS plastic. A 6 inch ABS floor drain, modified by Dremmel will hold the lens itself. It fits perfectly. Now I have to figure out how I can mount a removable lensboard to its housing and add the rear element (which fits well in a 4inch to 3inch ABS pipe reducer) at the proper distance when wanted. On the Ebony, I can get almost full aperture...and it's pretty cool to see such a bright image on the ground glass!
