Hello all,
I have a few 4x5s that I want to send for drum scanning.
Any recommendations about places?
Thanks,

Chris,
A timely email. I am just now starting to do some scans for others on a limited basis. No public announcement yet. If you are interested please send me a PM.
Hi Ted,
Would you scan 8x10s also?
I'm in the same boat - starting to do drum scans for others slowly but surely. I've been drum scanning my own film for the last four years. Mostly 5x4 negative (color and B&W). If you are interested, send me an email and I'll work up a quote for you.
If startups worry you, consider Danny Burk. He's another list member here and has a good reputation.

Another vote for Danny Burk - very high quality work and a pleasure to work with.

I've been using NancyScans since 1994.

great people who really know what they are doing.
I've been using Pixelnation for my color and B&W scanning. The scans they have done for me are outstanding! I have been very impressed with the personal attention I receive from Joseph, the proprietor. In the past I used West Coast Imaging and have had no complaints, but with Pixelnation the personal attention as to my needs and desires has sold me! Pixelnation is at www.pixelnation.us.
I posted this before but it's worth a repeat:
These guys do volume scanning on an Imacon 949. They run four of them. You have to call them for a quote (ask for Guatam Pai) but for me they quoted $14 each for 2050 dpi x 16 bit scans of 4x5. They include dust spotting in this price. Add $2.50 per DVD burned. They will also include color correction if you wish but I declined this option.
I just have sent them about 50 scans so far. A few minor problems but they have been quick to fix. These are very good scans and nearly as good as a drum scan (I can't really see the difference). Tell Guatam I sent you.
