Flash synch with an Ilex shutter

I recently picked up a 14" Commercial Extar in a #5 Ilex. Being relatively new to LF I'm not sure if flash synch is possible with this shutter. Is there an adapter that fits over the two prongs? Thanks

Paramount makes an adapter. See the B&H site http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont....y=7&Submit=Go

Yes, very possible, after you get the two prong adaptor, check the flash sync, mine's at SK Grimes to repair the flash sync which was DOA from the seller.

If you want to connect the shutter to a strobe unit like Norman and a few others that uses "H" or "household" type sync with two flat prongs like an ordinary U.S. electric plug, an electric shaver cord will also work.

Thanks for the info. I will try the Paramount at B&H and hopefully I won't have to send the lens to Dr. Grimes!
