The El Nikkor 150mm says 2-8X and the El Nikkor 135 says 2-10X. So maybe I should get 150 Componon S for 11x14s in the 16x20 easel and keep the 135 El Nikkor for murals not over 48 inches.

It's actually pretty dark in there, not sure anyone will notice if I swap lenses.

I would advise testing that you get the quality you need in the corners with a 135 Nikkor at higher magnifications.
On paper you can see ( from looking eg. at all Schneider Componon-S lenses ) that a 135 is losing some MTF in the corners of 4x5 at x10 or x12.
They are more uniform at x3 or x6.
The Componon-S is likely good enough, but I have never had access to MTF for the Nikkor lenses.
Of course from a practical point of view a 150 needs a longer throw length...

Making small prints from 4x5”negs likely will require use of the 150mm. Like greeting card size etc.
Making large prints without enlarger head hitting darkroom ceiling: best with 135mm.
For edge to edge/corner steel wool sharpnes if that’s what you like, go digital.

If from 2005 it will be the final version of the Componon-S, the ones with the blue illuminated scale. You'd have to go back pre-80's for it to be a 'Non S' .

That’s nice. Makes a better case for owning both!

Beseler 45 made an easy to ship steel enlarger bench

It had a removable table panel

enabling longer lenses or bigger prints on a lower table almost at floor

do not forget wall projection is easy on many Beseler but not all

    Look for them

Yep! I was pleased to find out my $300 MCRX came with the $1,000 stand. They aren't hard to build from 2x4s But the steel one has slots for the baseboard all the way to the floor!

I found 3 during the Great Purge but only 2 had the box

I gave one away when I moved

    I regret that

Ya, I was looking at a couple 150s The Componon S looks good but there's APO Componon and Componon G for murals. In Rodenstock there's Rodagon, Rodagon G for murals and Rodagon WA, 120mm for 4x5. Nikon lists just one 150mm El Nikkor which they claim to have improved over the years so I guess don't buy the metal ones.
