    Re: Portraits from 2024

A neighbor whose appearance struck me and my wife as resembling a figure from a Leonardo painting kindly agreed to my request to make a portrait. She was very busy when the day arrived, so I worked rapidly without due attention to some pose suggestions I made. This is cropped from about a 645-size area from the neg. The simple, window-lit light background is uncharacteristic of my "environmental" portrait approach, but in this is case, for me, is the visual metaphor I wanted for her spirit and mission.

    4x5, 210, HP5. Scan from print.

Beautifully done. You've captured a spectacular space with beautiful lighting.... & a wonderful casual composition. Chapeau!

Nice. I love some Heliar, and the HR-U seems to work well for portraits.
