    I didn't think I had any chance to hear first hand experience! Hopefully I can get access to physical prints Bushnell made. But like my discoveries about the retouching techniques, it may be the case that this is only the tip of an iceberg of knowledge and expertise applied to create the prints. The studio was commercial, certainly, so I expect quick copies, but I also think that in some other cases they may have striven to be on the edge of technology, showing off the latest and greatest techniques.

    Interesting question. I think these images are old enough not to worry about them. And I do have the physical plates. Ironically, I would probably be the individual best placed to figure out who might have some claim. No doubt this has been covered in the forum.
