What are the rules for the "Business" subforum?

Can we promote our business with links, etc? What is allowed, not allowed?

Well, judging by the rules, it seems one cannot dicuss/or promote their large format photography. I didn’t see any examples of this either.

Yeah, generally that's it. This forum was set up NOT to be an advertising platform.

It seems that putting your contact info in the signature is okay, and I assume it’s okay for any postings you make with examples or techniques that are not an outright advertisement.

From the forum rules: Other Commercial Posts - Except as noted herein, other "promotional" posts promoting your own business enterprise, or one to which you are financially connected (e.g. owner, employee, contractor), are not allowed.

As the label on the tin says, the topical focus of the Business subforum is "Business aspects of LF photography, including legal, marketing and promotion" - what kinds of challenges arise, how to deal with them. It is not a venue for promoting one's own products/services.

More generally, we have pretty tight limits on what kinds of commercial promotion are allowed anywhere on the Forum. One-time announcements of new products and services are allowed in the "New Products and Services" subforum, with moderator pre-approval. New LF-related books and workshops can be posted in "Announcements". You can also include a link to your site in your signature line, but promotional text is not allowed.

If in doubt about whether a particular kind of post is allowed and/or where it should be placed, please ask.

Thanks for the clarifications. I will definitely ask before posting anything to make sure it is acceptable,
