    An update, Toyo 810M users:

I received the camera back from repair today. There were extra washers in place that had been wrongly added it seems, and a lot of grease in and around the locking mechanisms that should not be there. Apparently these parts have to be bone dry for the mechanism to lock properly and tightly.

The front and back can now be tightened properly with little to no flex, however, I need to really really tighten the knobs hard to achieve that. Is that normal? Any users who can verify this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

It's not the case on the 810M but hopefully an 810Mii user can confirm.

Thanks for the info. I was worried that might be the case. What a pain...
