Andrew,
I noticed in the video you measured the negative density range (1.69 - or was it 1.59?), and I was wondering how you are using that? Is it just for information, are you aiming for a certain range, or to make/check characteristic curve of your methodology?

I've used my densitometer to get EI and N times (as per Adams in The Negative), but I haven't figured out how else I might use it. And as a data fan, I'd probably enjoy exploring it further.

Determine density range for printing on silver, alt processes, or scanning for digital neg. With new to me films, I usually make curves to work out EI's, and N times. I also check film base + fog as a curiosity. Films/developer combos sometimes give high readings, and are to avoided for some alt. processes...
