Ground Glass and Older Style 6x9 Cameras

I have an older style Arca Swiss 6x9 camera.

Do the older Arca cameras require a fresnel lens of the correct thickness between the g.g. and the taking lens, similar to the newer Classic F style cameras? I noticed that my older 6x9 have spacers of about the same thickness as the Fresnel on my 4x5. (The 4x5 does not have spacers.)

Given these spacers, it would seem not. But, I'd be interested in hearing from someone who's familiar with the older-style Arcas.

Neil, if you can't ask Arca Swiss International directly, why don't you ask Emmanuel Bigler to ask them? He and the company are both in Besançon.

Also, Emmanuel has a 6x9 Arca Swiss but I don't know how old it is.
