    I'm glad that you had a great trip! I spent a year at St Andrews University and enjoyed it immensely. I'm glad you're son is spending some time studying abroad. I wish more students would do so.

    Bryce will be working on a Masters of Forestry next year at UBC in Vancouver, so he'll be a bit closer.

    In the Lord of the Rings, one Hobbit asks what the midges eat when there are no hobbits around. But here are what eats the midges...the carnivores of the moors! Watch your toes!

    Sounds like a wonderful trip Vaughn. I gather midges are like our no see yum knats. I used Avon Skin So Soft when dealing with those pests on the Gulf Coast.

    There are many places on Sye where you can get great images from the roadside. Some of the locations have been done to death though.
