Just returned from a visit back East. Had an opportunity to run into NYC for the day to view the installation & display of the Gilman Paper Photo Collection at the Metro Museum of Art.
Well worth the time & expense. The collection on display was only partial but very extensive in depth. Some images are well known--shown in other contexts--shows, texts, etc while there were a good number of images which are generally not seen, likewise photographers--known as well as not known.
