    reduction, not enlargement

Really a question for Mr. Bob Salomon... I'm making a ~2x reduction from a 5x7 color original, and I'm having a little trouble getting sufficient resolution on the resulting transparency. Without adressing any of the other parameters, I have a simple question. Assuming f/11, will the 210mm Rodenstock Rodagon I'm using be sharp enough at a 2:1 reduction, rather than its usual 2x enlargement? I'm wondering if I should reverse the lens in the enlarger.

PMFJI. The lens is made to be used with small negative behind it and large paper in front. Reverse it.
