Re: Images from my June 2022 Road Trip

Last night I developed the last 4 rolls of film from my trip. All that's left is a few sheets of Velvia I need to develop but I need to get fresh E6 chems.

I posted this scene from the Redwood NP way back on the first page, which just so happened to be in the first batch of film I developed. But, these last rolls I developed were Rollei 400IR film, and this image with the lighter foliage from the IR looks nice and I might need to print this one instead. It's closer to what I was envisioning. 40mm + R25 filter:

I got pretty wet from this one . I was waiting for the wave to crash onto the rock, which was making some nice spray, when I saw a good wave coming and clicked the shutter. It was a bigger wave than I thought and hit just the right angle...
    Perfect!

    I stand corrected!

Vaughn and I walked past this fire house in Blue Lake, and had a discussion about letters and symbols with ambiguous meaning. I like photographs like this with potentially an unknown meaning to the viewer.

    Great stuff Brian.

I have some Efke IR that I've kept frozen since I bought it, when the discontinuance was announced. I know IR isn't supposed to keep well but people were posting HIE images years after it had gone away. I need to try that Efke soon as I can get the darkroom up and running again. Of course I can always buy fresh Rollei.

Great, Bryan! A balanced fire department.

Volunteer -- complete with air-raid rated siren to call the volunteers. Even with cells phones, the Fire Chief loves it. It lets the town know there's trucks soon to be on the road and they are doing their job. A friend whose house is next to the siren disagrees.

Both the siren and nearby residences can be seen on Blue Lake's Web page:
