I have used a Berlebach tripod (Berlebach Report line) with reversed column with a Technika. Works fine.

I use and prefer a normal tripod, not a smallish one.
It's about 4x5" macro...

I have not read much of this thread, so this suggestion may be redundnt . . .sorry.

I have a friend who screwed aq pan-tilt head onto a 12" (or so) square of plywood for low angle macro sdubjects in the field . . .flowers, spide webs and such.

I would think that something lke that could work as well in the studio for table-tops and still life compositions. Do it sll on a folding table from Costco.

I hung my 5 x 7 Kardan Bi from a reversed column on my Linhof tripod for some closeups of ice formations. Had to lie down in the snow to focus and spent the next two weeks at home with Pneumonia. Finally recovered and went to the darkroom only to discover that I'd used empty film holders. Oh well, I still remember the formations.

And as I was packing up a gentleman stopped me and asked if I might be interested in a 5 x 7 enlarger and I wound up getting a very nice Durst 138 at a pretty decent price.
