The Ortho-Protar is an f/8 six elements in two groups orthoscopic (low distortion) lens. According to a 1910 Zeiss catalog it is suitable for all "scales of reproduction." In other words, for all subjects, near or far.
Do you have a complete lens (two cells in barrel or shutter) or a single cell? The rear cell, whose focal length is about twice that of the complete lens, can be used for "landscape."
thanks for your reply ! My lens have glasses in front and rear, fixed apertur and smoll size - 1.5 inch long! looks like "process" lens!

Impossible to be sure, but it sounds like a single cell. Is there a barrel in the middle? Is it engraved Ser. IXa?
Thanks for the photos. Not at all the general purpose lens described in the catalog.
