    Jason Lane Dry Plate

    I used a stoneaged Rodenstock Bistigmat 9x12
It has around 150mm focus length and a speed of f/15
    Made of two singe lenses.
Here I used f/20 and the exposure time were 8 minutes.
I develoed the plate in the Adox FX-39 II developer.

They are a lot of fun, especially if using historical gear.

I’m an old fart, does that count as historical gear?

Photographs like yours finally pushed me over the edge to try these for myself. I just received my first box of 4x5 plates a week or so ago and am looking forward to shooting with them.

Just did the same. Now to figure out how to adapt the film holder.

Thankfully I was able to find some 4x5 plate holders. I've seen a few mentions across the internet that people have good luck adapting pack film holders for use with plates.

I have managed to adapt extremely easylly a 4x5 film pack holder for my Speed Graphic. I've just made a cheap "filler" with a couple of layers of black foamcore. It blocks the light that should enter as the film pack is not present, and locks the film sheet or dry plate in place.
