My Feisol weighs only a little more than 4 lbs (5 or so), and cost less than $400. It's plenty rigid. The biggest problem is that it can sometimes be too light for wind conditions or spongy ground. That's why my turnbolt going thru the top is actually a 3/8-16 hook bolt. I ordinarily use this to hang my meter and loupe. But it could also accept a mesh bag full of rocks for sake of greater weight.
My Sirui M3204 Carbon is 1,7 Kg and it holds the salesman with 80 kg from Sirui is stated 18 Kg and the head I have is the K 40X which should hold up to 35 Kg!
I really happy with it!
Dunno. . .haven't had it out in a while and never made a note of it. Got it used in a cash/trade deal, not shopping for just the right item. Turned over some or most of the other stuff but kept the tripod because it seemed to work with my Kodak 2D . . .and they looked great together too.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!
Get a 1/4-20 bolt and tube of superglue and all the world can be your tripod!
