Hello,

I just recently got a Durst CLS 1840 and everything seems to be working as expected except that when the timer expires or when the lamp is toggled on / off, the lamp continues to stay on for about 10 seconds before shutting off. My suspicion is that there is something wrong with the EST 1000N power supply at the delay circuit.

This is what I've read in the repair manual:

[... The first of these, IC9a, (C 34, R 67, R 68 produce the delay) opens the shutter about 0.8 sec. after the lamp has been switched on (M11). After the end of the exposure time the second monoflop IC 9b (C 33, R 64, produce the delay) is activated and turns off both shutter and lamp with the same delay of 0.8 sec.)]

If this is the problem, does anyone know a repair person near NYC who might be able to help me or supply me with another EST 1000N?

I have found a EST 2000N for sale, is there a difference between the 1000N and the 2000N?

Many thanks,
Josh
