I'd like to add Ernie Morin from Glouchester, Mass. There is quite a little art colony there, but you have to sort through a lot of chaff to find the wheat.

I feel the urge to add A. A. Bodine from Baltimore. He produced some utterly fantastic images.
How about Kipton Kumler, and Stieglitz contemporary Williamn B. Post?
I don't think anyone has mentioned Sally Mann yet
not a landscape photographer per sebut certainly LF
and I believe East Coast for the most part
she is both creative and talented in the work she does
I would have to add Elliot Erwitt and O. Winston Link.

All good choices... but George Tice is my guy.

Haven't heard or thought of him in years. He was a very well known photographer in his day, at least in Maryland. And he did produce some great work that I believe appeared every Sunday in the Baltimore Sun for many years. I've seen a book of his images, well worth buying if you can find it though it's probably long out of print.

I'm not sure but I don't think so. He's in his 70s now.
I met him once at the Barron Arts Center in NJ (Woodbridge?). He signed my Urban Romantic book, but back then I didn't have the money to buy a print. I still have the price list... It doesn't have the year on the invite, but the latest print on the list was 1984. White Castle (my fav) was $375, $300 with the student discount. Oh well.

Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while. A quick search reveals what he's up to these days:
