The tall ships will be in San Diego this week (14 AUG--???) Theres supposed to be some cannon battles on San Diego Bay as well(BTW, the frigate HMS Surprise from Master and Commander was tied up at the San Diego Maritime Museum). Might be worth looking into (especially with a speed graphic or some such) I wish I could be there, but I start a class monday sooooo :-(
We just returned from Legoland California :-) and took in "Triple Espresso" at the Horton Grand Theater in San Diego's Gas Lamp district(I counted only two gas lamps btw!) A great show! If anyone is headed for San Diego the tall ships would be a unique opportunity and "Triple Espresso" would make the effort a spouse-friendly outing.
I'm not connected to the San Diego Maritime Museum or the Horton Theater, but just passing along stuff that I thought might interest some of you LF'ers.
