Have you tried fitting both a glass plate and aluminum plate into it yet? The metal plate should be a doddle because it's thin but I'm wondering if the thicker glass plate tries to hang up on the sides if you don't drop it in/out perfectly flat.

I saw you posted a plate you've shot. Are you confident enough in your adapter design to print a pair for me?
Yeah, the adapter seems to work great. I could print a couple out for you.
I've been loosely following this thread off and on. I've started selling dry plates and demand has been pretty good. You can check out the thread in the new product announcement sub forum.
One aspect of the interest in dry plates is availability of plate holders. Yours might be a relatively easy solution to refer folks to who want to try out 4x5's.
The catch is that I've settled on sizing my 4x5 plates to 126x100mm to fit all the plate holders that I know of out in the world. Would plates that size be retained in your holder?
I'd love to check out a holder myself as well.

Please read the thread on this forum about repairing a TravelWide lens mount. Then please consider using your skill set to design a replacement part for replication using 3D printing. The current thought on that thread is to use traditional machining to creat a prototype part and laser cutting to make thr replacement parts. This seems labot intensive and possibly costly to me.
Cheers.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!
Perhaps everyone is set on 4X5 for custom plates, which includes both Dry and Wet.
I suggest another size, 3-1/4 X 4-1/4 aka 1/4 plate. This size camera is much cheaper to buy used than almost any other format. A clean Graflex Pack Film Holder often comes with these forgotten cameras.
Just a thought and the 3X4 camera is significantly smaller.
Why not the whole plate size, ~6' x 9"?

Hi Colorado
I'm interested in obtaining some of these. I found some plans for modifying said adapter by having some pieces machined and found a cutting place but they never got back to me. As I am in the UK it might be better for me to get them printed from STL files, or the postage might not be too much anyway, either way happy to pay.
Thanks
Richard
