I have an Omega C760 Condenser lamphouse with three condensers - 2@ 9-203-1974 and 1@ 472-120. The two 9-203-1974 versions are thicker (ie, more convex, shorter focal length), and the one 472-120 is thinner (ie, less convex, longer focal length). The illustration, however, on the inside of the front slide-off cover of the housing appears to show ONE thick condenser to be placed in curve-up fashion into the bottom position and TWO thin condensers to be placed in flat side-to-flat side fashion into a slot position above. That amounts to ONE thick and TWO thin condensers, though my entire unit has TWO thick and ONE thin condensers.
Who knows what the proper arrangement should be for: (A) 6x7 or 6x6 printing (75-90mm lenses) and (B) 35mm or 110 printing (50mm or shorter lenses)?
(I know, of course, that the top condenser is needed only for the smaller formats.)
Sincerely, Bob
PS:
I have not been able to locate a web site for Berkey Omega; is there one? Or a phone number, etc.?
