Ericantonio - yes, I am a proud father. I really enjoy doing the restoration work on some of these fine cameras, especially the Korona. The film holder might be a bit older than the camera, maybe 1907 or so. I did see an advertisement for the Korona View camera in a 1936 catalog, so it is quite new!
Oh man that's great to restore them. I sold my 8x10 to a guy, an English Teacher living in Japan. But I wish someone who has the skills to bring them back to what they used to look like would have been good too. I wanted to do it but I lacked time and space. What the challenge for me with these Koronas, I had the 8x10, was that when extended, it was very weak at the joint cause most of the camera was on the long end of where it didn't have any material on the bottom. So I wound up holding the front of the camera most of the times with a light stand.

rrunnertexas, I have this same model of Korona. Its a nice lightweight, fun camera. I hope you enjoy ours as much as I do mine.
