There was a late change (1905?) in the range of Suter portrait Petzvals. I’ll add them to the serial number summary later. I think very few were made/sold.

I have one of these - Aplanat B No. 3 - SN 19968. I want to mount it to a board and shoot some film thru it with my Speed Graphic. I'd love to see how people on this thread have their lenses mounted to boards with shutters. I've always acquired lenses with boards and shutters mounted already. Any advice or suggestions are welcome!
Well with a Speed Graphic you don’t have the problem with the need for a shutter. It is possible to purchase a metric flange here or on the well known site.
Hello all, if it's help I have 2 Suter lenses
Stella 32cm f/5~32 N° 46923 Heavy brass lens with diaphragm
Anastigmat Serie I N°5 330mm f/7,2~45 N°:26292
I have a Suter Rapid Aplanat No. 4
f/5 and I calculated that it has a focus length of 385mm f/5 x diameter of the glasses but it has an extension of 420mm?
I think 385mm ist correct, math don´t lie.

Excellent lens for Wet Plate, even at f/5
The second is mounted in a camera 10x15cm.
On the camera is a plate with: manufature of optic E.Suter Basle
A Stella 160mm f/5 in a Compur I /dial set version is assembled

Hi, I found this one with a very high serial number, any information about this lens?
Thanks in advance
The “7” in the serial number is probably just a “1”!
