    Essential photography Apps? Your List?

    Mine:

    1. Sun Scout: excellent sun location predictor shown in augmented reality.

    2. Willy Weather: ability to show sunset, sunrise overlapped with tides

    3. Photo Buddy: useful set of calculators.

    4. Slow Shutter: a great long exposure app for the iPhone.

I am looking for a scouting/viewfinder app and have not found the right one yet. ...

I don't use or feel the need for any apps. Although, if I was photographing sunsets over the ocean Willy Weather sounds pretty neat.

    Skill of craft.

inspired creativity used to express an idea.

Film, Lens, Camera, light meter, tripod, case, post process to the finished print.

Expressive images are made by an individual not apps or related techno-widget helper.

Me too, which doesn't exclude useful apps or nasty things like "digital" light meters in my universe.

Reciprocity timer is the one app I use the most for my art. Email and phone are the ones most useful in my photo business as they allow me to stay in touch with clients while I play hookie from the commercial photography and work on my art.
    Thanks,

    1) Mark II Artists Viewfinder

    - pricey at $37 especially when many just use mat cutouts but has the added benefit of an iphone photo record of the scene and other benefits

    2) Reciprocity Timer

    3) Shutter Speed

    http://www.echolot-online.de/Shutter-Speed.html
    - use in conjunction with "Photoplug" supplied by Lukas Fritz (do an advanced search for the seller "Photoplug")

I use the Photographers Ephemeris and the reciprocity app. Contrary to the "dumb " comments posted, there are some valid apps that can help in some instances.
