Our family hiked the Inca Trail in Peru. It was tough but wonderful. The kids held up better than I did.

My son Bryce put his camera on a rock and got this image of the two of us on Solomon Peak (7550') in the Yolla Bolly - Middel Eel Wilderness in California where I was a wilderness ranger/mule packer/trail builder during all of the 80s. This was our last day of four days over Fathers Day weekend, 2018.
Mount Shasta is that little cloud to the left of us.

Yes, it was cross-country skiing. Had a visually wonderful day, sort of foggy, lightly snowing - hopefully this image conveys the feel of it. We were essentially skiing in clouds. At one point my wife and friend left me to cover some more miles while I continued to photograph, all alone in the silence. Blissful! They picked me up on their return.
