lens that will fit inside closed horseman 45hd

am considering a Rodenstock 135mm Sironar-N but was wondering if anybody had any suggestions for a 150mm that would fit inside of horseman 45hd when it is closed

I have a Calter IIE 150 mm f6.3 inside mine right now.

I forget who actually made this lens.

Without lens cap as that does not fit.

Consider the cable release too. If the lens won't fit with a cable release attached, it may not save you any time.

It can take longer to attach a cable release than to attach a lens whose cable release is already attached.

Good point Ken. I have difficulty attaching a cable release after the lens is mounted on some cameras.

Although the Horseman special lens board with the very rare Horseman custom cable is very easy for me.

But it took 2 years to find one...

i am not that concerned with time only convenience of having a lens that will fit inside so I do not have to carry it separate. the shooting i will be doing will be spur of the moment and i will need to mount the camera on a tripod anyways and do the setting up process but thank you for raising the issue of the cable release as that is not something i had considered yet.

Would this Gepe part work? It is a flexible cable. Gepe also has rigid angle adapters. Hasselblad also makes more compact ~45° adapter. I use the later attached to the lens, and put on the cable release after unfolding the camera. (The angle part swings away flat to the board.)

As a last resort, if the shutter has a V setting (self timer), you can trip the shutter without a cable release. It's something I've used when I lost the release in the field.

The G-Glaron f9 150mm worked also on my Horseman inside and out! It is also good for macro, but you need much light to see something at 1:2!
