Bencher photographic - Majestic tripod head adapter

I'm trying to buy a post adapter to mount a 1200 series Majestic tripod head on a non-Majestic tripod - I see that the part I need is listed on the bencher site, but I didn't get a reply to my email, and the contact form on their site seems broken.

Does anyone have a working email for them? I'm outside of the US, so didn't try phoning yet, email would be a lot easier for me if possible.

We believe they have gone out of business and I may have bought the last one of what you want a couple years ago.

The part is very simple and can be made just like OE from aluminum, turned down to fit and tapped for 3/8-16. Find a guy with a lathe.

I have tried calling them a few times and never had an email for them. They were located 60 miles from me.

I know a guy with a lathe. Would you please post a photo?

Randy, thanks for the info. I found an email listed at the bottom of a brochure they have online, but received no reply. I had wondered about finding a guy with a lathe, but since their prices were reasonable I wanted to try and give business to a photo specialist. Maybe their prices weren't high enough

Hmmmm... I might have a small project for a lathe owner myself

I will not supply dimensions as your machinist should work them out himself with your Majestic head in hand. Be aware there are at least 4 variations in the Majestic head 'hole' to fit 4 different tripods over decades of production. The big tall spud and the shiny new one are both used to mount heads to Arcay Studio stands. One is DIY and one is Majestic NOS, maybe the last one.

Notice the very well designed captive and spring loaded tripod to camera screws. Big, adjustable and strong. Cheap until the end...

Also every Majestic tripod I have seen, does not need an adapter as the head mounts directly on a large post which is integral to the Majestic tripod.

Randy, I appreciate you spending the time to take those photos and upload. Thank you.

Those captive screws look tricky, does anyone know if a copied adapter would still be ok without them?

Randy, your photos were very helpful - I took the head and a tripod part to a machine shop, showed him your pics and got an adapter made in about 15 mins, very cheaply. Thanks again!
