    Voigtlander Euryskop series V

I can't find information here, but there is much in CCHarrison's site under the section which has the B. French Voigtlander and Darlot agency listings.

There are lots of wide-angle series without having a series number. These are notoriously difficult to place in the right "series" when these are advertised for sale. There is one, which is called described as a 90 degree wide, which is the Euryskop series V and which is well engraved as all the later Euryskop series are. I hadn't actually seen one before to-day, when one appeared on an alternative auction site. A site where some interesting appears about twice year, at most! I found a series VIIa there years ago.

It is somewhat different from most Aplanat/RR wide angles (or perhap MARs) as the maximum aperture is F6. What am I going to expect in terms of image at this speed? Or is it just a help to rough focussing.
It is size 00 which, surprising covers up to 8x10. - but probably not at F6.

    Any users out there?

There was one of these up for sale here a few months ago:

I couldnt get the pics to load, but IIRC it was also a Euryskop V #00

I've recently purchased a Euryskop V #2, but due to work travels, havent been able to try it out yet.

Just curious, what was the serial # of your #00?

    Cheers

    Tim

    40123. 1891/2.

I get the impression that the production period was very restricted, which would explain why they are not seen too often.
    Perhaps:

    - problems with the new glass,
    - too expensive to make and retail price much more than Lynkeioscopes,
    - Complaints about image when used fully open?

So this is the series V Euryscope. Voigtlander had gone from no information on the barrel to lots of data (but minus focal length and coverage!). This appears to have a flange thread "Extender" perhaps to fit a corresponding (coverage sizewise) series IV flange?
