    sliding box camera

Here's a couple of pics of my new 4X5 sliding box camera with front and back tilts.

Am enjoying testing it,seems to be operating just fine and am looking foward to exercising it a lot...

Would it have been easier to light seal if the lens end boxed over the film end so that there was no direct line between the between box gap and the film?

    Hi Chauncey,
Yes is the answer and I did build my 11x14 that way but in this case I wanted strength in the body for mounting on the tri pod and inserting and removing film holders. The idea for this camera came because myself and ancient tri pod were thinking my Crown Graphic was getting too heavy so making the camera light and sturdy were the goals.
