I have the book, and I am tempted to scan it and make a pdf of it... but it is about 500 pages... and probably not legal...

    Anyone else have any favorites?
Among the reviews for this book were quite a few saying it was more for couples and wedding photos. Would you say this is true? I have purchased a copy of Mortensen's book and am looking for more. I need a lot of guidance in fine art/environmental portraiture of pretty girls in nice scenery.

It is aimed at commercial photographers and so includes a lot on wedding stuff, couples and families, but also solo. I do think his approach mechanical, but if you are looking for that it is great!

    Suck in the gut.
Keep the profile of the nose inside the cheek.
Rotate the breasts counter to the hips.
Raise the chin enough to remove the fat.

Oh and shoot attractive people to begin with, that is the real key.
