thinking about a Seneca 5x7, any other makes I should consider?

Am thinking of getting a 5x7 folder, on the cheap. Was considering a Seneca 5x7, are there any similar folders I should consider?

Used a Seneca Improved 5x7 last year and liked it.

    thanks

on e-Bay right now. Burk & James made their field camera in 5x7 as well.

A good example of either one shouldn't break the bank. There are a few K5x7 odak 2D cameras

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

I owned a Seneca Black Beauty 5x7 "cycle camera" for several years. It produced decent images. Mine had a convertible rapid rectilinear lens, which at f/8 on an old ground glass, was not the easiest thing to focus. I did enjoy using it, mostly because I loved the state of woodcraft and technology it represented.

I'm in the process of mounting a few lenses for a lightweight 5x7 Seneca 6B. I like it because it's light, has a rotating back and protects the lens when closed. Also look at Seroco and Poco, just to name 2 of the more common and usually inexpensive ones.
Skip the Conley field cameras. While inexpensive and light, the rear frames don't always stay vertical due to weak side supports.

This feels like Deja Vu all over again. Didn't you go through about 3 months of decision making here last year, before buying the Seneca? Do we have to do all that commentary for you again, or would you just like to read your old posts?
