I like it.....it reminds me of my first shoot

First shoot with my new setup. Speed Graphic, Tri-X 320 in Rodinal. Buhl 11inch (279mm) f3.1 projector lens on a newly-built tripod.

Intense but soft at the same time. Interesting portrait! Nicely done, Tom.

I'm not sure this is a portrait in the usual sense. My sister will be holding a small gallery show for her pastels and the gallery requires a picture of the artist at work. So we marched out to a local park and I tried a few angles while she sketched the garden. I needed to capture both her face and the work she was doing. It turned out that the 150mm shots were the best compromise.

I really like this. Her expression is very contemplative. I hope her show though is outdoor work, or it might not make sense! I always enjoy portraits of people doing things, more-so than just being in front of a camera, usually.
