They are different lenses... 'Designed' for entirely different applications.

im not an expert but they look like the same optical design to me, both are (from the subject) cemented biconvex - planoconcave , air gap, cemented planocovex - biconcave - planocovex, air gap with apiture , cemented planoconcave - biconvex, (film).
