Now, THIS is a masterful fashion portrait! Love how the transition from the dark drape to the lighter background exactly mirrors the lighting on the face. Have you been aware of this when you took the image? Irving Penn couldn't have done this better.

Thank you so much. I really appreciate your generous comment. Yes the position of the drape in the middele of her head was intentional and you can see it also in aother picture of the same series. This is the one i prefear. Also the fan create that contast and the dress too.
Some former neighbors graced us with a visit today, prior to leaving the state for a new life in the Pacific Northwest. I took the liberty of making a portrait, and presenting them a print, again using the Instant Box Camera.
The paper negative was once again Arista grade 2 RC paper, f/8 at 1/4 second, ISO12; while the print was Ilford MG RC WT Luster paper, exposure f/8 for 8 seconds, grade 3.5 printing filter over the lens, rated at ISO 1.6. I continue to use incident metering +1 stop for the negative, and a reflected meter reading off a gray card for the print.

The photograph and the thing being photographed are not the same thing.
