I remember visiting a winemaker near Frankfurt in 1987. All the winemaking was in his basement, where I noticed that the concrete walls were 3 feet thick...
Before the tour we had a fabulous meal at his house's dining table. It was a wonderful experience.

A true Frenchman would know to keep his corks wet.
No matter what happens, the occupants will feel no pain. I was once new to Texas and observed that during hurricanes here a lot of people sheltering at home drank their way through the storm. My first experience was unnerving and made me see their rationale.
The shelter owner must have been rather pessimistic.
The bottles are not on their side.
