hey peter, i came across the same information you did a little after making my post here. i apreciate all the digging you've been doing.
i also found Schneider's Page on Cooling Filters to be very helpful. i understand what i need to do now:
since i'm starting at ~3,000K,
with daylight film, i need to raise the temp to ~5,500K: 82A (3000-3200) + 80A (3200-5500)
with tungsten film i need to raise the temp to ~3,200K: 82A (3000-3200)
looks like i have two methods to test... this is going to be a lot of fun.
