Good job. You should post that in the self-portraits thread.

    Nice!!! Great job!

And I think it will be 4 degrees here Monday, it will be a balmy 13 tonight...

It was predicted Monday would be -2 yesterday when I checked so it's up to 4 maybe we'll get lucky and it will keep climbing to to close to 10! Lol

Course it could be worse -69 in Utah or -80 in Alaska... Lol. Past -20 does it even matter? Lol.

Thanks Stone, sitting here looking at 11 deer outside the window.
Yep could be worse, I like winter though better than heat.

Enjoyed the vids, esp the steam engines. You might like the sample shots on my Verito page in my signature, below.

The idea of "infinity" in this context is relative. Light rays coming from a subject situated at infinity can be thought of as being parallel. Equivalently for a lens at infinity focus, light from a point source located at the film plane will pass through the lens and exit in a collimated, parallel bundle of rays. At least, this is the way I learned it. In quite practical terms, infinity for me is a tree located at the edge of my property. The difference in focus between that and the distant horizon is negligible.

That was interesting thanks for posting, I`m going to take some pics of some of my engines later.
I think I`m going to build another camera like this one but smaller and make a bag bellows for it.

    5/8" = 15.895mm by my calculations

18F = -7.7C (ouch! no wonders your a bit hesitant to take these experiments outside!))
