Just starting to use a newly bought Sinar P2 8x10 after 40 years of occasionally using Kodak D2. Attachment 128664 I grabbed our gardener for a portrait. Then my daughterAttachment 128665

I'm punching the portraits up with the polycontrast 3 setting in Onone software. I shoot HP5 8x10, develop for 4 min. in Dektol deluted 1-3 ('cause I'm lazy and learned this technique in Las Vegas in the darkroom of the Flamingo Hotel in 1967), then I fix, and my only wash is in the faucet for a while, the dry and scan on a Epson 4990. i'm really having fun looking for the glint that every one has. Tired of the digital thing and of course in my career it was all film. Great forum.

I like the first better---for me, it's more intense, less normal. Which did the author choose?

I think he'll go for the Foma one. It makes more sense.

I shot a few more plates today, this was the best of a mediocre bunch; I'm still very happy to share it here, as I'm learning what I can about wet plate.
