Hi Eric-

Yes, I spent three days with him in an unstructured workshop in Carmel. That would have been in 1991. We had models and spent a couple of days photographing on Cole Weston's property at Garrapata Canyon and later at Pebble Beach.

Lucien was wonderful company to be with and a true artist. I was sad to hear the news. Indeed, another talent recently lost.

I was fortunate to view prints at his home a number of years ago. In addition to his own prints, he had a number of Picasso drawings on his walls. A fine host and gentleman.

I met Lucien Clergue at the opening of his exhibition in Leipzig, Germany, in 1999. After the opening, we ended up at a local restaurant with him and a small group of people. I have fond memories of that evening. RIP.
