Two days ago another photography book arrrived on my doorstep - it was called "The Landscape" by UK (large format) photographer Paul Wakefield. I usually don't go for colour, this time I made an exception and am very glad I did so. The book is very nice - extremely good printing, nice layout (although the few images spread over the whole double-page do suffer sometimes) but the best of the book are the images.
There is no description by the images, you don't know what are the places until you reach the index at the end of the book. But it is not important. The images are arranged in sections -Shorelines, Rockscapes, Drylands, Woodlands, and Snowscapes. Browsing through the pages, looking at the photograph, I felt really immersed in the landscape. If you care about landscape photography, I highly recommend this book.
